London Data Exchange Brings an Additional 500kW to London Data Centre Market

London, 16th July 2013 – London Data Exchange Ltd

London Data Exchange brings an additional 500kW to the London Data Centre Market

London Data Exchange Ltd (LDeX), one of the largest and fastest growing independent providers of carrier neutral colocation space in London, have today announced the immediate availability of an additional 500kW of customer power and associated infrastructure at their LDeX1 data centre facility in London.

This news further increases capacity at the company’s LDeX1 data centre as it continue to execute on its long term strategy to develop a large scale premium quality data centre campus in North West London.

The carrier neutral data centre has been designed to resilient standards with minimum specification including 3 string UPS systems with up to 2(N+1) redundancy and N+1 high capacity cooling infrastructure.  Dual power is provided to each rack as standard and the site benefits from multiple mains power entry points to the onsite private substation and standby diesel generator power. Using environmentally responsible technology and 100% renewable energy, LDeX also aims to deliver the one of the most efficient colocation facilities on the market.

LDeX1 delivers rack space solutions for clients with requirements between 1 and 100+ racks in bespoke configurations ranging from single rack units to secure cages, suites and dedicated rooms with private infrastructure. Being carrier neutral the facility offers a range of connectivity solutions from many major telecommunications and network providers.

Matthew Edgley, LDeX Sales & Marketing Director comments;

LDeX1 offers some of the highest quality and most technologically advanced data centre space in London and the addition of 450kW of immediately available customer power arrives at an exciting and prosperous time for us, ensuring a continuation of supply at a time when we, and our clients, absolutely require it to satisfy demand for further growth. We have a responsibility as a data centre operator to ensure such client growth is not restricted and we’re committed to delivering on this responsibility.  We fully expect to be the largest independent provider of data centre space in London within three years and this news takes up a step closer to this goal.

Our approach to the colocation market place is a major factor in this success. The well-received launch of products such as DCaaS – Data Centre as a Service, where we deliver a growth focused colocation model ensuring customers only ever pay for their actual usage, with no power or space reservation fees, has confirmed our belief that colocation buyers today are looking for something different from their data centre partners. The agile nature of LDeX means we’re flexible enough to meet exacting technical and commercial requirements of a wide range of industry sectors, from technology providers through to finance and media.”

The company states that the new data hall is available for immediate occupation and that the facility complies with stringent standards such as the recently achieved ISO27001 certification, ISO9001 and ISO50001.
